Our Diversified Electrical Solutions Division was pleased to be able to deliver commercial power and critical electrical components for the TEXRail Station - DFW Airport, Terminal B, including utility relocations, power delivery, and much more. Below are just a few of the project highlights.
DFW Airport Terminal B station was built to accommodate the Trinity Metro TEXRail station and serve as a future Dallas Area Rapid Transit Silver Line station. The station is located at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport between Terminal B and DART’s existing DFW Airport light rail station. DFW Airport’s new $31-million station is the final stop for Trinity Metro’s TEXRail Project, a 27-mile-long commuter rail line that opened in January. The station sits within a 70-ft-wide space between two roads.
Features of the station include architectural-stressed fabric canopies that required construction of 10 piers on four 30-in. by 50-ft drilled shafts. In between the architectural fabric canopies, wall-mounted fabric canopies create a public space that protects passengers from the elements.
The project team contended with a lack of adequate as-built information about the surrounding area, difficult underground utility relocations, and a constrained project footprint.

Our Diversified Electrical Solutions Division was pleased to be able to deliver commercial power and critical electrical components during this infrastructure renovation for the historic Dallas County Records Building, including an emergency generator, service provider vaults, light fixtures, and much more. Below are just a few of the project highlights.
The Dallas County Records Building Complex consists of three buildings: the old Dallas County Criminal Courts Building, the Dallas County Records Building, and the Records Building Annex. The site where these buildings stand today was purchased by Dallas County in 1913. This complex is composed of three approximately seven-story buildings built in 1917, 1927, and 1953. It provides offices for several hundred county employees and requires significant structural renovations to bring the buildings up to current structural standards and to meet present-day building codes. The renovation will take a number of years with an estimated total cost of $139 million.
Upon its completion, the Dallas County Records Building will be approximately 320,000 square feet, about 40,000 more square feet than its current setup. Part of the increased square footage comes from the addition of a seventh floor that will be used for special events and will be open to the public.
